The acclaimed Oxford, UK-based four-piece band, The Subtheory, celebrated for their eclectic mix of Trip Hop, Psychpop, and Downtempo, has released their eagerly awaited new album, ‘Shark tank.’
‘Shark tank‘ features 13 meticulously crafted tracks, including notable collaborations with Pet Twin, Emma Hunter, and me. Building on the success of their last four singles and their work on award-winning BBC documentary soundtracks, The Subtheory’s new album promises to be a profound exploration of facing fears, confronting the past, and learning to live again.
“Track #11, ‘Untrue,’ distinctively captures the essence of the album with lyrics and vocals by Nównøis. The track delves into the increasingly blurred lines between authenticity and facade in today’s world.”
The work title of the track was “blurred vision”, and when I received the instrumentals, I was already inspired by these two words. I was also over the moon being invited for a collaboration by the band I’ve just discovered and fell in love with.
‘Shark tank’ is now available on every major streaming platform, and in physical stores through Temporary Home Records.
